Why should you choose Hallflat Farm Cottages? We are delighted that Hallflat Farm Cottages have a high proportion of 'regulars' who return on many occasions. We also have people who are visiting the western lakes for the first time after years of frequenting the better known 'honey pot' areas of the central lakes and who find themselves enchanted by the dramatic, quieter and less commercialised character of the west. Either way we are really pleased when our guests have so evidently enjoyed their stay - and the following testimonials give a flavour of just some of the many comments we receive. We think they speak for themselves. Ian & Madeleine (with thanks to our guests for their kind comments) Guest Testimonials "We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The farmhouse is cosy, warm and very clean. A really lovely 'loved' place
set in the most stunning grounds with views to die for! If you want to get
away from the hustle and bustle of life you must come here. We are sad to
leave." - the Robinson family from West Yorkshire " Wonderful 2nd Christmas at Hallflat
Farm - beautiful cottage - very warm welcome - we will be back" - The
Gascoyne family from Derbyshire "Enjoyed our week (despite the
weather), peaceful surroundings with beautiful views. Wasdale lake
stunning - such clean sheep, must be all the rain!. Climbed Great Gable -
wow! Lots of lovely walks around the area - plenty of info in the
cottage." - Mark & Judy from Mansfield Notts "A lovely cottage in an idyllic
location ideal for walking & cycling, enjoying the spectacular
surroundings - a perfect getaway. A big thank you to Ian & Madeleine for
making us feel very welcome and providing us with lots of info. Hope to
visit again very soon! - Rory & Katie from Cambridge "Beautiful farmhouse in a brilliant
location with amazing views situated in an unspoilt part of Cumbria but an
easy drive to the tourist attractions. The welcome and information
received on arrival was superb. Given the freedom of the farm it felt like
we had our own slice of the Lake District. Dog was made very welcome and
loved it too" - Helen, Dominic & Lola from Lincolnshire "The first stay was brilliant. Our second visit was like coming home again. Thank you for making us so welcome. - Michelle & family from Sowerby Bridge. W. Yorkshire "Our 3rd year in Clancy - lovely
cottage - views great - warm welcome - lots of walks in the valley." -
Dennis & Jackie from Walsall "This is our 4th visit (we just can't
resist coming back). The cottages are comfortable and well equipped, the
location perfect. If you're looking for wildlife this is the place - we've
seen otters, deer, a huge variety of birds & butterflies (including tufted
guinea fowl!)...5 stars all round!" - Phil & Sue Brown from the
Yorkshire Dales. "Delightful character cottage, well
equipped, in a peaceful setting with lovely views. Definitely worthy of a
repeat visit." - Andrew & Penny from Hampshire "A warm comfortable & well equipped
farmhouse with superb facilities and extensive grounds...ideal for family
& friends wanting to enjoy the peace and stunning scenery of Wasdale...we
thoroughly enjoyed our stay" - Jane, Fergus & family from Oldham.
"A great place from which to explore and a great place to return to each day" - Clive & Jen from Essex " Beautiful weather, lovely cottage, will be back again" - Steven & Tracey from Chorley "Had a lovely weeks holiday in Clancy cottage. The cottage was very clean, well kept and had everything we needed. Ian & Madeleine were very welcoming. We would definitely come again - a lovely place in a lovely part of the country." - John, Angela & Barney the dog from Manchester "Spectacular views, comfortable accommodation, friendly" - the Fife lot, from Scotland "Myself, my wife and my children and grandchildren had a weekend staying in the farmhouse. As there were eight of us, the four en-suite bedrooms, and large kitchen, dining room and lounge were ideal, and particularly well furnished and equipped. Ian and Madeleine made us most welcome and were very helpful and provided a cot for our 13 month old grandson at no extra charge. The garden area is the perfect spot to sit and relax or have a barbecue, which Madeleine told us was available, again free of charge. Unfortunately the weather and our short stay precluded this, but we definitely hope to return and take advantage of the offer. The location is ideal for exploring the Western lakes and mountains, and the local pub also offers a friendly welcome and good meals. - Geoff and family, from Leeds
