Goosepen Cottage

The name of the cottage comes from the old goose pen which now forms the cottage garden. The cottage sleeps up to a maximum of five in 2 bedrooms - one double bedroom, and one which can be set up as a twin (2 feet 6 inch wide beds) or a king-size double or as bunks and a single (all 2 feet 6 inch beds). A cot is also available.

There is a wealth of original oak beams and exposed stone walls. Modern gas central heating and double glazing keep the cottage cosy.

The main living area, with wood burning stove, Freeserve digital TV and DVD player is at first floor level to take advantage of the views of Wasdale's magnificent mountain scenery and the large kitchen with its own automatic washing machine, is also on this floor.

The bathroom with shower over bath and separate WC are situated on the ground floor with the bedrooms.

Need more space? - an additional annexe bedroom is now available for family or friends visiting you for a few nights.

Outside there is ample off road parking and access to Hallflat Farm's eight acres of pasture, woodlands and gardens, complete with riverside walk.

Hallflat Farm welcomes well behaved dogs, and there are extensive areas for exercising them, including areas where accompanied dogs can run free. We charge £5 a stay for each dog. The area also has a wealth of walks suitable for dogs and most of the pubs in the area are dog friendly, including our local, the Bridge Inn
